Life annuity for families

Lifetime pension for families after an accident

Did you know that mandatory accident insurance doesn’t cover the potential long-term consequences of an accident during a leisure activity? Global Mountain Rescue’s Accident Life Annuity is also offered as a family product!

A note: Children included in the family insurance policy must be under 15 years of age and be members of Global Mountain.

Family insurance is especially beneficial if two adults and at least two children under 15 live in the same household.

Lifetime pension

With the family product, the insured person receives a lifetime monthly pension of up to $1,759.27 after a leisure accident that causes a total physical disability of 50% or more, with an annual premium of $123.15 for the entire family.

The minimum contribution for the family plan is $38. It is worth noting that the monthly pension can also be doubled or tripled depending on the chosen fee.

With the family insurance, spouses, partners, and all children under 15 years of age residing at the same address are covered.

Important: All family members must be individually registered with Global Mountain Rescue and have their own membership number.

Disability Benefits (50% or more)
The type of benefit (monthly pension or one-time lump sum) is determined by the insured person’s age at the time of the premium payment, not at the time of the accident.

1. Under 15 years old
Instead of a monthly pension, they will receive a one-time lump-sum payment:

Proportional fee of $11: Payment of $105,840

Proportional fee of $22: Payment of $211,680

Proportional fee of $33: Payment of $317,520

2. Over 74 years old
Instead of a monthly pension, they will receive a one-time lump-sum payment:

Proportional fee of $11: Payment of $13,500

Proportional fee of $22: Payment of $27,000

Proportional fee of $33: Payment of $40,500

The annuity is paid monthly in the agreed amount for life. After the beneficiary’s death, the monthly payments do not stop, but continue for the heirs for a maximum period of 20 years.

Regardless of the payment method chosen, insurance coverage for each individual member always begins the day after the insurer receives payment.

If an existing insurance period is still in effect at the time of payment, the new insurance coverage will begin on the first day after that period ends.

Their insurance coverage applies to the entire leisure sector.

The insurance also covers climbing without restrictions regarding difficulty level, as well as high-altitude mountaineering without any altitude limit.

Work-related accidents and accidents occurring while participating in air sports, such as paragliding, are excluded. Further exclusions can be found in the general terms and conditions of the insurance.

Those who are members of Global Mountain Rescue (GMR) during the current year and have paid their membership fee are eligible for coverage, regardless of their permanent place of residence.

These conditions also apply without payment of the GMR fee for “members exempt from membership fees” (children) who are registered with GMR and therefore have their own membership number.
