Rescue Operations

International Alliance and Specialized Insurance

The Socorro Andino Peruano (S.A.P.) Association, in strategic alliance with Global Mountain Rescue S.A.C., has been developing the first project in Peru aimed at integrating a network of associates and professionals specialized in high-mountain search and rescue, strengthening national and international cooperation to respond to emergencies in hard-to-access mountains.

International Cooperation

As part of this initiative, and thanks to the collaboration with professional rescuers from Austria, an important cooperation has been established with Bergrettung Tirol (Tyrolean Mountain Rescue), a prestigious non-profit organization in Austria comprised of over 4,500 highly trained volunteer rescuers, whose mission is to provide assistance and rescue persons in accidents or dangerous situations in the alpine zones of Tyrol.

Within the framework of this international cooperation, we consider it fundamental to promote the implementation of specialized insurance for accidents, search, and rescue in high mountains, designed to cover operations in extreme and difficult-to-access environments.

Our proposal includes coverage to protect mountaineers, guides, and rescuers on expeditions exceeding the altitude of Nevado Huascarán Sur (6,768 m a.s.l.), the highest mountain in Peru, ensuring adequate coverage for rescue operations anywhere in the Andes Mountain Range.

Strategic Alliance & Specialized High Altitude Insurance

In cooperation with Bergrettung Tirol (Austria), we are driving the first project alongside the Socorro Andino Peruano Association (S.A.P.) and Global Mountain Rescue. We promote specialized insurance for expeditions exceeding Nevado Huascarán (6,768 m), with coverage of up to €30,000 to ensure the sustainability of rescue operations.

Proposed Coverage €30,000 Search, Rescue, and Evacuation

Rescue costs are the verified costs incurred for searching and transporting the insured person to the nearest accessible road or to a hospital nearest the scene of the accident for necessary medical care. The costs for searching for the insured person are paid up to the sum insured, regardless of whether the search was successful or not.

5. Aerial Sports
